CALVIN'S Fine Jewelry is an independent, family-owned store, opened in Austin's Northwest Hills in 1997. We design and finish rings at our own bench, and you'll be helped by GIA-certified staff.

A Day Trip Down Wine Road 290
The 22 wineries of Wine Road 290 line the highway between Fredericksburg and Johnson City, and the same road carries you most of the way to us. The showroom is at 3818 Far West Boulevard, Suite 102, Austin, TX 78731, about 82 miles from the Marktplatz. Without traffic that's an hour and 45 minutes; budget up to two and a quarter hours on a busy day.

A Ring Worthy of Enchanted Rock
If the plan is to propose on top of Enchanted Rock at sunrise, or somewhere quieter among the peach orchards, the ring deserves the same thought. Our engagement rings are made at our bench, and you can start from an Iconic Collection setting or design from a sketch.
Your first consultation takes about an hour, with loose diamonds on the table so you can compare in person. You approve a CAD model before anything is cast, and a custom ring is done six to eight weeks after that. Hill Country Weddings, Bands Included
Fredericksburg is a favorite Hill Country wedding town, with venues such as Hillside at Red Rock, the Texas Wine Collective and La Bonne Vie Ranch. Order wedding bands four to six weeks before the date. For her, choose plain gold, diamond or eternity bands, including curved bands shaped to sit against an engagement ring; for him, men's bands in gold, two-tone, textured or tantalum.
Natural and Lab Grown Diamonds
We carry both, chosen one by one. Lab grown diamonds usually let you choose a larger stone for the money; natural diamonds are rarer and keep more of their value. We'll put them next to each other under the same light, and our GIA-certified staff will explain what you're seeing.
German Heirlooms and Family Pieces
In a town founded by German settlers in 1846, plenty of families still have jewelry that came over or was handed down. We can resize old rings, repair worn prongs, or move the stones from an inherited piece into a new design, with a CAD drawing for you to approve first. For insurance or an estate, Alexandra de Marigny, a GIA Graduate Gemologist and International Society of Appraisers member, writes independent appraisals from her office in our showroom. Getting to Austin from Fredericksburg
Take US-290 east through Stonewall to Johnson City, where it runs together with US-281 for a few miles. Continue east on US-290 through Dripping Springs and Oak Hill to MoPac (Loop 1), head north, and exit at Far West Boulevard. Free parking is right outside Suite 102.
