A Family Jeweler Near Kyle and Buda, Without the I-35 Crawl
The showroom is at 3818 Far West Boulevard, Suite 102, Austin, TX 78731, in Northwest Hills just off MoPac. From downtown Buda it's about 24 miles, and from Kyle about 30. Plan on 35 to 50 minutes depending on MoPac traffic.
Calvin Smith III started out apprenticing for his father, and in 1997 he opened his own store on Far West Boulevard, where he still works the bench. Co-owner and designer Jackie Smith is there too. Get to know the family in our story, and check location, parking and hours before you head up.

Custom Engagement Rings, Start to Finish
Most people from Kyle and Buda come up for this. You can start with a setting from the Iconic Collection, our house-designed line in 14K gold, or go fully custom with a ring designed and finished at our bench. You pick the shape, the metal (14K yellow, white or rose gold, or platinum) and the center stone.
Here's how it goes. You book a design consultation, spend about an hour with a designer, and compare stones in person. You approve a CAD rendering before anything is cast, and a fully custom ring is ready in six to eight weeks. Natural or Lab Grown? See Them Under the Same Light
We carry both natural diamonds and lab grown diamonds, every one chosen by hand. Lab grown is usually the way to more carat or a better grade on the same budget, while natural appeals if you want a stone the earth made. We'll put them next to each other and tell you plainly what you're looking at.

Repairs, Resizing, Cleaning and Appraisals

How to Get Here from Kyle or Buda
From Buda, take FM 1626 north to the SH 45 Southwest toll, which runs straight onto MoPac (Loop 1) North. Ride MoPac north through west Austin to the Far West Boulevard exit. From Kyle, head north to FM 1626 and follow the same route. To skip the toll, take I-35 North to Ben White Boulevard (US-290/SH 71) West, then MoPac North to the same exit.
There's free parking right outside Suite 102, with no garage to circle and nothing to validate. Hours are Wednesday to Friday 11 to 6 and Saturday 10 to 5; Sunday through Tuesday we're closed.
