CALVIN'S Fine Jewelry is a family-owned jeweler on Far West Boulevard in Austin's Northwest Hills. We've been on the same street since 1997, the founder still works the bench, and every associate on the floor is GIA-certified.

You'll find us at 3818 Far West Boulevard, Suite 102, Austin, TX 78731, just off MoPac below the 183 interchange. From Old Town Leander that's about 20 miles, and 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic. From Crystal Falls, Travisso or Bryson, figure about the same.

Plan the Ring Around the Proposal Date
If you already have a date in mind, work backward from it. A fully custom ring takes six to eight weeks from the day you approve the design. A setting from the Iconic Collection, our house-designed line in 14K gold, comes together faster. Either way, the shape, the metal (14K yellow, white or rose gold, or platinum) and the center stone are up to you.
The first step is a design consultation of about an hour. You sit with a designer, compare stones in person and sign off on a CAD rendering before anything is cast, so there are no surprises when the ring is done. Look through engagement rings and custom engagement rings for ideas, then book a design consultation with enough time to spare.
Wedding Bands for Both of You
The engagement ring gets the attention, but you'll both wear a band every day. For her, we carry plain and diamond women's wedding bands, curved bands that sit flush against an engagement ring, and eternity bands. If nothing in the case lines up with the ring she already has, we'll make a band that does.
For him, men's wedding bands come in yellow, white and rose gold, two-tone and textured finishes, plus tantalum, a dark gray metal for anyone who wants something different. Bring your partner and try them on together. It beats guessing a size, especially with tantalum, which can't be resized later.
Natural and Lab Grown Diamonds, Hand-Picked
Every diamond we sell was chosen by hand, natural or lab grown. If size matters most, lab grown usually gets you there for less. If you want a stone the earth made, natural is the one. We'll put both in front of you and let your own eyes decide.

Repairs, Resizing and Appraisals
Ring too tight? Prong snagging on everything? Our bench jeweler handles sizing, prong repair, accent diamond replacement, cleaning and polishing in-house, on pieces from CALVIN'S and from anywhere else. The full list is on our services page.
Pieces bought here carry the CALVIN'S Promise. The first year is under warranty, and after that we clean, polish, inspect and size them free for as long as you own them. If a center stone is ever lost or damaged, we'll help with the insurance claim. Need something appraised? Alexandra de Marigny, a GIA Graduate Gemologist and ISA member, does independent insurance and estate appraisals from an office at our showroom.
Getting to CALVIN'S from Leander
Take 183A Toll South until it rejoins US-183, stay on 183 South to MoPac (Loop 1) South, and exit at Far West Boulevard. To skip the toll, take US-183 South the whole way. Parking is free in the lot out front, a few steps from Suite 102, and the showroom is at ground level.
