A Long Drive, So Make It One Good Trip
We're at 3818 Far West Boulevard, Suite 102, Austin, TX 78731. From the courthouse in Gonzales it's about 68 miles, roughly an hour and a half to two hours. That's a real drive, so we'd suggest bringing everything at once: the ring you want to talk about, the bands that need sizing, and any pieces that need appraising.

Family History, Kept Wearable
Gonzales takes its history seriously. The Legislature named it the "Lexington of Texas," and the Come and Take It cannon still has pride of place at the Gonzales Memorial Museum. A lot of families here have jewelry with history too: a grandmother's ring that no longer fits, a brooch nobody wears, a stone from a broken setting.
We can resize old rings, rebuild worn prongs, or lift the stones from an inherited piece into a new design you'll actually wear. For a redesign, you'll see a CAD rendering before any metal is cut. Browse the custom gallery for examples of what's possible.
Engagement Rings
Choose an Iconic Collection setting and pair it with a center stone, or ask us to design a ring from scratch. A first consultation takes about an hour, with real stones on the table, and a custom ring is ready six to eight weeks after you sign off on the design. Diamonds, Natural and Lab Grown
We stock both. A lab grown diamond usually gives you a larger stone for the money; a natural diamond is rarer and keeps more of its value. Our GIA-certified staff will show you both side by side and explain what each grading report says.
Appraisals for Insurance and Estates
When an estate is being settled, or a family piece needs insuring, an independent appraisal helps. Alexandra de Marigny, a GIA Graduate Gemologist and ISA member, prepares them from an office inside our showroom. Call ahead so we can schedule her around your visit, and bring any old receipts or certificates.
Wedding Bands and Gifts
Planning a reception at the Alcalde Hotel or somewhere nearby? Order wedding bands at least four weeks out. For anniversaries and birthdays, our fine jewelry includes diamond studs, pendants and bracelets, and the gifts page sorts ideas by occasion.
Care for Life
Jewelry from CALVIN'S comes with the CALVIN'S Promise: a year of warranty, free cleaning, polishing, inspection and sizing for as long as it's yours, and help with an insurance claim if a center stone is lost. Getting to Austin from Gonzales
Take US-183 north through Luling and Lockhart. North of Lockhart, US-183 runs on the frontage roads beside SH 130 as far as Mustang Ridge; the SH 130 toll lanes are a faster option. From Mustang Ridge, US-183 continues north toward the airport and into Austin. Crossing town to MoPac depends on traffic, so let your maps app choose, then exit MoPac at Far West Boulevard.

Hours are Wednesday to Friday 11am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm; we're closed Sunday through Tuesday. With a drive this long, book ahead so the right people and stones are ready.
