A lot of what Georgetown customers bring us started life somewhere else: a mother's engagement ring, a grandfather's band, a pair of earrings that hasn't left the box in years. We can set an inherited center stone in a new mounting, size a family ring to fit the hand that will wear it now, or rebuild the piece around the stones you already have.

It starts like any custom job. You bring the piece in, we look at the stones and the metal together, and you approve a CAD rendering of the new design before any work starts. See how our custom process works, and browse the custom gallery for pieces we've made for other families.

Getting ready to propose? Start with a setting from the Iconic Collection, our own house-designed line in 14K gold, or go fully custom with a ring designed and finished at our bench. The shape, the metal (14K yellow, white or rose gold, or platinum) and the center stone are all your call.

A design consultation takes about an hour. You sit with a designer, see stones in person and approve the CAD rendering before anything is cast. Fully custom rings take six to eight weeks, and Iconic settings are quicker if the date is close. Settling an estate, insuring a ring or just wondering what Grandmother's brooch is worth? You shouldn't have to mail your jewelry to a stranger to find out. Alexandra de Marigny, a GIA Graduate Gemologist and member of the International Society of Appraisers, offices at our showroom and does independent insurance and estate appraisals in person, on CALVIN'S pieces and on jewelry from anywhere else.

Take I-35 South to SH 45 Toll West, then MoPac (Loop 1) South, and exit at Far West Boulevard. To skip the toll, stay on I-35 to US-183 North (Research Boulevard), then take MoPac South to the same exit. Pull into the shopping center lot and park for free right outside Suite 102. There's no garage, no meter and nothing to validate, and the showroom is on the ground floor.
