Family-Owned Austin Jeweler Since 1997
Jeweler Near Liberty Hill, TX
Need a jeweler near Liberty Hill? Take SH 29 east to 183A Toll and head south. We're on Far West Boulevard, just off MoPac, about 40 minutes away.
CALVIN'S Fine Jewelry is the Smiths' family business, open on the same Austin street since 1997. Our own rings are shaped and finished in-house, and you'll be helped by staff who hold GIA credentials, not a commission target.
Most of our Liberty Hill visitors are shopping for an engagement ring or wedding bands. Others come with an heirloom to resize, a loose prong, or a piece that needs an insurance appraisal.

A Straight Shot Down 183A from Liberty Hill
We're at 3818 Far West Boulevard, Suite 102, Austin, TX 78731, in Northwest Hills. From downtown Liberty Hill it's about 28 miles and usually 35 to 45 minutes. Since 183A Toll was extended all the way to SH 29 in 2025, almost the whole trip is on the toll road and US-183.
The store belongs to Calvin Smith III, who apprenticed with his father before opening on Far West Boulevard, and he's still the one at the bench. His co-owner, designer Jackie Smith, is usually in the store too. Meet the family.
A Town Growing Fast, and Rings to Match
Liberty Hill has roughly tripled in size since 2020, and a lot of the couples we meet from Santa Rita Ranch and Liberty Hill's other new neighborhoods are planning weddings in a town they've only just moved to. If that's you, we can help you get the ring right without driving all over Austin to compare.
Pick an Iconic Collection setting or start with a blank page. In the hour-long consultation we'll show you real diamonds, agree on shape, metal and spend, and build a CAD model for you to approve before any metal is poured. Custom pieces are ready six to eight weeks after sign-off. For inspiration, look at engagement rings and the couples featured on CALVIN'S Couples.
Made by Hand, Like the Sculpture Park
Liberty Hill has been home to hand-made work since the 1976 International Sculpture Symposium left the town its sculpture park. We feel the same way about rings. Ours are cast, set and polished at our bench on Far West Boulevard rather than shipped in finished, which is why we can change a prong style, widen a band or raise a setting for you.
See the custom gallery for recent work, and how it works for the steps from sketch to finished ring.
Natural and Lab Grown Diamonds
Our cases hold hand-chosen natural diamonds and lab grown diamonds. Choose lab grown and your money buys considerably more size; choose natural and you get a rarer stone that retains more value over time. Seeing the two together usually settles it, and our GIA-certified team will explain cut, color, clarity and carat while you compare.
Wedding Bands for Both of You
Her side of the case has plain gold, diamond and eternity bands, including contoured styles shaped to hug an engagement ring. His side has men's bands in gold, two-tone, textured finishes and tantalum. Order about a month to six weeks ahead of the date to leave room for sizing and engraving.
Repairs, Appraisals and the CALVIN'S Promise
We do our own repair work: resizing, prongs, missing accent diamonds, cleaning and refinishing, on jewelry from any store. For insurance riders and estate valuations, appraiser Alexandra de Marigny, a GIA Graduate Gemologist and member of the International Society of Appraisers, works from an office in our showroom. Call before you come so her calendar is clear.
On top of that, purchases from us are backed by the CALVIN'S Promise: one year of warranty protection, cleaning, polishing, inspection and resizing free for life, and assistance with your insurance claim if a center stone is lost or damaged. See every service.

Frequently Asked Questions
No, there's just one CALVIN'S, in Northwest Hills on Far West Boulevard. Downtown Liberty Hill is about 28 miles away.
SH 29 east to 183A Toll south, US-183 south, then MoPac south to Far West Boulevard. It's usually 35 to 45 minutes.
Yes. Take US-183 south from Seward Junction instead of 183A. It's free, with more traffic lights.
Six to eight weeks from the day you approve the CAD design.
Probably. Our bench can size most rings and bands no matter where they came from. Tantalum and certain full eternity bands are the exceptions, and we'll say so before taking it in.
Walk-ins are fine for browsing and repairs. An engagement ring or custom project goes better with a booked time, so a designer is set aside for you.
